Welcome to Nunoya Ryokan
Nunoya Ryokan is located in the street called Nakamachi-dori where it is one of most popular place from local as well as tourist. It takes about 10 minutes walk from Matsumoto station. Our building is nearly 100 year old building. Nunoya has been running a hotel more than a century. It is a lovely, attractive house. Due to the characteristic of old building, soundproofing, insulation, equipment would not be perfect as modern buildings. However if you would like to experience Japanese culture, history, it would be a good selection.
Our Rooms
We have 3 type of rooms.
Room type 1 is 2 single futon beds on Tatami floor. This is a traditional beds arrangement. Futon beds are folded on the room. When you sleep, you spread out futon beds on the floor.
Room type 2 has a slight bigger space than room type 1. It has 2 connected rooms. It has 2 single beds on the flooring. If you are a family traveler, you can add 2 futon beds on the tatami floor. It allows maximum 4 people to stay.
Room type 3 is a chalet type of house. You will stay the whole Japanese traditional storage house. The building is a 2 story building. There is a living, dining plus bath room on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, there is a bed room which has 2 single beds. If you are a family traveler, you can add 2 futon beds on the floor. It allows maximum 4 people to stay.
Twin room with 2 single beds
This room type has a slight bigger space than room type 1. It has 2 connected rooms. It has 2 single beds on the flooring. If you are a family traveler, you can add 2 futon beds on the tatami floor. It allows maximum 4 people to stay.
Twin room with 2 Futon beds
This room type has a 2 single futon beds on Tatami floor. This is a traditional beds arrangement. Futon beds are folded on the room. When you sleep, you spread out futon beds on the floor.
Traditional Storage House Chalet
You will stay the whole Japanese traditional storage house which is next to Nunoya Ryokan main building. This is a very traditional storage house. The exterior and interior of house is so gorgeous. You will have an exclusive experience in this house. The building is a 2 story building. There is a kitchen, living, dining plus bath room on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, there is a bed room which has 2 single beds. All the necessary equipment are installed. You can rent a place for your base of trip in Nagano. If you are a family traveler, you can add 2 futon beds on the floor. It allows maximum 4 people to stay.
Access
Nunoya is located in the most popular area called Nakamachi Dori (Street) in Matsumoto where many tourist and local people visit for a shopping, dinner, etc. If you come from a Matsumoto station, it will take 10 minutes. Matsumoto can be a base for your trip in Nagano. If you go to Kamikochi, Kiso, Azumino and Hakuba, it will take approx. 1 hour by car from our place.
